Old Boudoir vs New Boudoir
When you hear boudoir photography what is the first image you think of? Is it of a woman in lingerie with her finger in her mouth and a stiletto in the other hand?
If this was the first image you thought of then you can join the millions of other people who have the same image in their brain when they think of boudoir.
Fun fact: that is what boudoir photography used to be. It’s not what it is now and it’s not what I photograph. There’s a difference between being the object of a photograph and the subject of a photograph. In my sessions, you’re a subject, not an object.
Your session is made to empower you. Empowering you means making your session all about you.
How do you want to see yourself?
How do you want to pose?
How do you want your hair and makeup done?
What do you want to wear (or not wear)?
What vibe/feeling do you want the photos to have?
I take your answers to all of those questions and make you a personalized session, designed and stylized to fit you and what you want.
That means that if you feel confident and empowered in a sweater and jeans then that is what I am going to photograph you in. If being empowered means you want to wear lingerie, put a finger in your mouth and hold a stiletto in your other hand then that is what I am going to photograph!
Remember that a session with me has been and always will be 100% about you, what you want to do and how you feel comfortable being photographed. Nothing more. Nothing less.
